Greg Melton

Greg Melton is an Assistant Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Utah Tech University. He specializes in mineralogy, igneous petrology and metamorphic petrology, with a passion for uncovering the stories rocks and minerals have to tell. Whether in the lab with a microscope or in the field with a rock hammer, Dr. Melton strives to connect students to the processes that shape the planet. He emphasizes field-based learning as an essential way to study geology.
